How fast the year has gone! We are already entering the last quarter of the year. In February, I have outlined nine keywords for 2016 to get ahead of the game.

Where are you at, four months before the year ends? Are you happy with what you have achieved so far? Have you smashed your objectives or are you underwhelmed?

Take a few minutes to reflect now:

  • What did you want to achieve in your business or career by the end of 2016?
  • Have you been thinking big enough or just setting up smart goals that didn’t inspire you?
  • What if you could realise bolder, juicier goals in the next 90 days than what you have achieved so far?
  • Does that sound too good to be true?
  • What if it was truly possible and you could achieve a bigger goal faster than you currently think possible?
  •  Start to be open to this possibility? Great.

Doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results is the definition of madness according to Einstein.

Discover what innovative organisations are doing successfully to get rapid change with big projects with NoC 90-day Challenge and boost your business performance rapidly, beyond your what you think possible.

Why a 90-day challenge?

Something magic happens when we have a limited time to achieve a stretch goal. There is a sense of urgency, some excitement, we are able to keep focussed for a short time and we learn to move quickly.

The NoC 90-day Challenge is adapted from the Rapid Results methodology (Schaffer & Ashkenas) used to build quick implementation capabilities. It has been tested in many large organisations to achieve unprecedented quick results and now is available to all size of businesses.

This is how it works:

Principle 1: Choose a BOLD goal

Pick a challenging goal to accomplish in the next 90 days. This goal should be specific and measurable.

E.g. Create 4 new jobs, increase revenues by 25%, save 30% of costs, etc.  Not “I want to improve my business” or “I want to work better”.

Principle 2: Produce a measurable stretch result

The actual result should go beyond what you have set up to achieve. It should be an easy measurable outcome.

E.g.: You have achieved 30% increase in sales but you had set up 25% increase as goal = you have exceeded your initial goal by 5%

Principle 3: Experimentation

The NoC 90-day Challenge is about using innovative approaches to achieve results.

New ways that are different from those used in the past.

E.g. new way of prospecting, new way of promoting, approaching people you would not have approached otherwise, etc.

Principle 4: Planned and disciplined

You have the freedom to experiment but within borders! Carefully written plan and schedule are essential to avoid getting lost and defeating the purpose of this challenge.

Draw a simple but clear plan, review it and update it regularly (daily or weekly).

Principle 5: Learning

Learning should be an explicit dimension from the beginning of the project. You should document and journal what you learn, understand what has worked, why and learn the lessons. This is a self-reflective task and the learning comes by taking a step back or a helicopter view to analyse what’s going on.

Principle 6: Clear accountability

Be totally accountable and review your progress regularly. Often, capable people fail to achieve their goals because they have no accountability! Find someone who can challenge you about what you said you will accomplish. Accountability create pathway to success.

Principle 7: Celebrate your success

Do not forget to celebrate your success at the end of the challenge, no matter how small or how big the achievement. Most people do not acknowledge their wins and jump straight to the next goal without taking the time to celebrate their achievements and to say thank you to the team who have supported them.

Now, there are four months to go before the end of the year and you can choose to finish it with sparkles. Apply to join the NoC 90-day ChallengeTM today to identify new sources of efficiencies in your business faster. Confidentiality guarantee.
