Next Generation of Leaders
I am passionate about empowering the Next Generation of Leaders. My work contributes towards the SDG 8 Decent Work & Economic Growth for all.
The SDGs promote sustained economic growth, higher levels of productivity and technological innovation. Encouraging entrepreneurship and job creation are critical to this, as are effective measures to eradicate forced labour, slavery and human trafficking. With these targets in mind, the goal is to achieve full and productive employment, and decent work, for all women and men by 2030.
I support this goal through these initiatives:
Digital Literacy
I am passionate about empowering people, especially women, to acquire the digital skills they need to take advantage of the digital economy. I advocate digital literacy for all and believe that enabling entrepreneurship ecosystems to support economic and social progress is critical, especially in Africa.
I am a member of Tech London Advocates, an unrivalled collection of tech leaders, experts and investors uniting to form the most influential independent, private-sector group in London.
Women Empowerment
I have been supporting women empowerment for more than a decade and played a vital role in executive committees of leading charities such as Professional Women Network (London) and Women in Diplomatic Services (WDS).
I am a key founding member of the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative (AWEC), a one-of-a-kind training program that builds a pan-African community of aspiring and established women entrepreneurs. AWEC empowers these women with the strategy, leadership, and business management skills needed for growth and economic advancement.
Africa Rebranding/Innovation
- I have created the African Diaspora Professional Women in Europe (ADIPWE) which has 300+ members on LinkedIn. Each year on International women’s day, we release the top 20 women in Africa diaspora or on the continent who are advancing the future of the continent.
- Field trips in Africa contributing to an inclusive Strategic Planning Workshop for engineering, innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa.
- TechAfrica tour to research innovation from African tech entrepreneurs
