Jim Rohn’s popular quote “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with”, is applicable both in personal and professional life.

If the results you are getting do not match your expectation, look around and check who are the five people you spend most of your time with. Are these people contributing to the success you want to achieve or not? Are you inspired by them? If not now is the time to find new inspiring ones.

In my recent webinar ‘The 5-step plan to promote your business online’, I’ve shared the factors that ensure success or failure in a marketing campaign.

When you struggle to achieve the results you want, it’s often due to 3 reasons:

1.    The message went to the wrong people

2.    The message is not clear or not compelling

3.    The message is not relevant to them

Success starts from picking the right ‘Who’ for your company, product or service and know them inside out. You need to be inside their head, understand what they are struggling with, what are the needs, fears, dreams and aspirations.

This is what I want you to reflect on now:

  • Who are you spending most of your time with?
  • Which clients understand the value you are providing to them?
  • Which clients make your life easier, are a delight to work with and do not ask for discounts or free stuff?

Changing the ‘Who’ and work with your desired clients can be one of the smartest move you do this year to achieve your objectives faster.

In our upcoming 6-week online course to promote successfully your business online, the first module will show you how to pick the right clients for your business and how to attract them.
