Leading organisations including\u00a0researchers, employers and educators participated in a roundtable discussion:\u00a0‘Addressing the Management Skills Gap in Africa<\/a>‘ organised by Global Business School Network<\/a> (GSBN) and The Center for Global Enterprise<\/a> (CGE) and hosted by IESE Business School<\/a>\u00a0in New York the 17 july 2017.<\/p>\n

Chris Caine, President of the CGE and Guy Pfefferman, founder and CEO of GSBN welcomed the attendees to the roundtable.<\/p>\n

My remarks on innovations in business learning interventions focused\u00a0on sharing innovations I’ve seen on the ground, encouraging more entrepreneurial spirit\u00a0and investing in\u00a0the young generation and women for success.<\/p>\n

Other speakers included Lisa MacDougall, VP of Goldman Sachs initiative 10,000 women<\/a>, Dr Olayinka David West from Lagos Business School<\/a>, James Newlands\u00a0from EY Americas-Africa Business Centre, Shubha Jayaram from Results for Development<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Magda Rosenmoller from IESE Business School led us through a powerful\u00a0design thinking session to design solutions from the end-user perspective.<\/p>\n

Tom Coogan from\u00a0the\u00a0U.S. African Development Foundation<\/a>\u00a0in his closing remarks, highlighted\u00a0the key\u00a0takeaways of this\u00a0multi-perspective discussion,\u00a0marking\u00a0the beginning of fruitful collaborations to create useful\u00a0and long-term impact interventions to address the management skills gap in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
